Jun 8, 2021
The International Maritime Law Group (IMG) proudly expands its team of maritime law practitioners with its two newest hires – Samuel Maier and Ryan McDowell. Both Sam and Ryan bring unique and complementary backgrounds to the team.
Samuel brings to IMG his experience defending design patents, overseeing employment and labor claims, and handling international human rights matters. Ryan adds his in-house experience, where he managed marine and trade disputes for a foreign carrier of breakbulk project cargo.
Both Samuel and Ryan served two years as editors on flagship law reviews, have authored published legal academic content, and have obtained extensive international exposure via their respective academics and employment. Samuel and Ryan will further enable IMG to bolster its robust industry reputation for providing quality legal representation to a vast array of global maritime players engaged in business in all sectors of the industry, including importers and exporters, shipyards ports and marinas, tug and barge companies, offshore developments, yachts and other recreational vessels, salvage service providers, cargo commodities carriers, freight forwarders, non-vessel operating common carriers, as well as non-profit organizations. Despite an expanding international clientele base, IMG maintains its promise to render top-notch legal services to maritime businesses in the Pacific Northwest, including fisheries and seafood, mining entities, and oil and gas companies.
IMG repeatedly demonstrates its ability to create personalized and practical solutions to efficiently meet its clients’ needs. IMG continues to promise to provide competent and cost- effective legal representation to its current, former and prospective clients alike. At IMG, we know our clients choose our services for the experience of working with us as much as for the tangible results we produce. At IMG, we understand traditional maritime principles and trace evolving industry trends to ensure our clients’ businesses are not responsive, but precedent to today’s challenging legal and regulatory climate.
